If you are trying to submit your Summer Sessions application, but are having issues, or haven't received your CalNet ID within 48 hours, you may be experiencing one of the following common issues:
Check Your Spam
- The CalNet email often gets stuck in Spam. Please check and if you haven't received your CalNet ID Welcome Email within 48 hours of submitting your application, please email summer@berkeley.edu.
Application Incomplete or Under Review
- Your application is not submitted completely. Please review your application and ensure you've passed the Identity Verification Process, submitted it and paid the application fee.
- You have a hold on your account that is blocking term activation. Please review the holds in your CalCentral and follow the instructions to resolve them.
Possible duplicate Student ID record issue
- If you've attended UC Berkeley in the past, you should be issued the same Student ID number. Sometimes, returning students get flagged for an account review if the system cannot automatically detect whether to issue you the same ID or a new ID. We email students with a series of questions to determine how to process the application. Please respond to our questions thoroughly so we can quickly get your application processed.
- Even if you've never attended UC Berkeley before, if your personal information matches another previous student's your record may get flagged for review. We email students with a series of questions to determine how to process the application. Please respond to our questions thoroughly so we can quickly get your application processed.
