Policy for Auditing Classes During Summer Sessions
Current UC Berkeley students, visiting research scholars, faculty, staff members, and post-doctoral scholars on the Berkeley campus can audit in-person (not online/web-based) Summer Sessions courses, subject to the approval of the instructor.
All others auditing a Summer Sessions class are subject to the same tuition and fees, as well as policies governing enrollment and fees, as those who enroll to receive credit. No GPA is calculated or credit granted for any audited course in the summer term. Students who need or are currently on an F-1 student visa should note that audited course units do not count towards the full-time enrollment requirement of the visa status.
High school students are not allowed to audit any summer courses.
