Course Listings
All Summer Sessions courses are listed on the Academic Guide. The summer schedule becomes available in mid-December for the next year. Please note that schedules are subject to change based on enrollment.
Course Numbers
In most cases, the course number indicates levels of the courses (lower-division, upper-division).
For an explanation of the prefixes, suffixes, and course numbering system used in UC Berkeley's course listings, please see the Course Number Guide.
Course Descriptions
For more detailed course information, you may be able to view the course description and/or syllabus before the beginning of the class through the Academic Guide. If a syllabus is not available online, contact the academic department offering the course to see if they have a current syllabus. Please note they may or may not be able to release this to you before the first day of class.
Please be aware that UC Berkeley considers syllabi to be intellectual property. Instructors are not required to provide a syllabus before the class begins. If you are required to obtain a syllabus before the class starts and one is not available for a course you want to take, you may need to select a different class.
