Take careful note of the dates indicated on your I-20. You are required to attend classes full-time during that entire period of time.
Adding/Dropping Classes in the Same Session
You may add and drop classes as long as you stay enrolled in session(s) that match the dates on your I-20 and you stay enrolled full-time according to those dates. Before you drop or add a class, please check the deadlines for adding and dropping classes. Additional fees may be charged if changing after a deadline.
Changing Sessions
Changing session dates after your I-20 has been issued is not allowed. It is generally not possible to change your session start date after your I-20 has been issued. If you need to request a change of your start date because you are unable to attend or arrive, please contact visiting-intl@berkeley.edu.
