There are a number of online course options available in the summer term and there are both synchronous and asynchronous options to choose from.
Asynchronous courses typically allow students greater flexibility to engage with the course material in their own time as they move through the course modules and complete weekly assignments. Students may not need to log in at a specific time.
Synchronous courses typically have real-time components where students will be expected to log in to attend lectures or engage with the instructor and others in the class at a specific time.
These classes may be listed at either ‘online’ or ‘web-based’ and you can review course offerings and modes of instruction on the Academic Guide
Courses listed with an online/web-based format may require students to come to campus to take exams in-person or may have other in-person requirements that you must be mindful of when setting your schedule. Please pay special attention to the Class Notes section of the Class Schedule and refer to the class syllabus to ensure you understand all requirements. Students seeking information regarding a specific course are advised to reach out directly to the academic department or the course instructor.
